Research
conducted in the ICELP and its affiliate centers
focuses on further development of the theories of
Structural Cognitive Modifiability and Mediated
Learning Experience and the applied research of
dynamic cognitive assessment, Instrumental Enrichment,
and shaping modifying environments. The influence
of mediated learning experience is investigated
in a wide range of populations including regular
and gifted children, including cultural minorities
students, children and young adults with genetic
syndromes (e.g. Down Syndrome) and developmental
problems (e.g. autism), brain injured individuals,
and high functioning adults in industrial or military
settings. Research projects are conducted in cooperation
with a number of universities including Tel Aviv
University , Hebrew University, University of Exeter
(UK), University of Turin and University of Milan
(Italy), University of Antwerp (Belgium), University
Diego Portales (Chile) and other. The ICELP has
a professional library and a unique collection of
books, research papers, and dissertations in the
field of Feuerstein’s theory and its applications.
